First up is an annual meeting during Food Matters Live at ExCeL, which runs from November 22-24. The exact date and time are still to be confirmed.
The following month in mid-December Cost Sector Catering magazine will host its annual lunch at the House of Commons for the industry’s 2016 Public Sector Most Influential top 20 caterers.
A new event being planned is chef-based cook-off Public Sector Showcase, which will be held on January 24 during the Great Hospitality Show (Jan 23-25) at the NEC in Birmingham.
The idea will be to allow chefs from the different sectors – schools, hospitals, prisons, care homes and universities – to show off their skills in a competitive environment.
Details of the format are still being finalised.
Lastly, the PS100 group will be holding a keynote session on April 20 at the Hilton Metropole, Edgware Road in London. This is timed to coincide with the Cost Sector Catering Awards 2017 in the evening, at which the PS100 Award will be one of 19 presented to the unsung heroes of the catering industry.
