ProVeg will be demonstrating how to prepare simple, low-cost and nutritionally balanced plant-based recipes that ‘children will love’ on the free online workshop. Online workshops will also take place in May, June, September, October and November.
A spokesperson for ProVeg said: “Our vision is a world where everyone chooses delicious and healthy food that is good for all humans, animals, and our planet. ProVeg International is a food awareness organisation with the mission to reduce the global consumption of animals by 50% by 2040.”
ProVeg will also take this opportunity to talk to attendees about the launch of their School Plates Awards. Entrants need to send their latest menu to ProVeg at schoolplatesawards@proveg.com where they will review your menu and provide feedback to help schools achieve a Bronze, Silver or Gold Award.
The School Plates Awards is ProVeg’s way of recognising and rewarding the positive steps school caterers are taking to make menus healthier for children and the planet. Find out more about the Awards and register for the online workshop.
