Abstract
Foodbuy, the food and drink procurement company, has raised over £50,000 for its charity partner Duchenne UK by hosting a gala dinner at the Kia Oval in London.
Oliver Cock, managing director of Foodbuy, said: “Our gala dinner has been a fantastic success and I really want to thank our partners, suppliers and sponsors for their support.
“The gala dinner raised over £50,000 which Duchenne UK will use for vital research.”
The dinner hosted 150 guests from across the procurement, food and beverage and non-food sectors, including Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Channel 4 news presenter. A three course dinner was prepared by culinary director Nick Vadis.
The company is also taking part in the Duchenne Dash, a 24 hour bike ride from London to Paris, to raise money for the charity, which aims to find a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
