The contract wins began in August 2016 for an initial three-year period with two year and one year extensions also available to the schools. The wins mean Principals is now catering for 135 schools across the South East.
Nathan Jones, co-founder and director at Harbour & Jones, said: “These contracts are a testament to the strength of the Principals offering and we are delighted with the retention of our existing business and this significant growth in our schools catering business.
“This lays a solid foundation for our further expansion in new markets and regions. We are very confident in our strategy for growth within the education market and are excited to see what the future holds for Principals.”
Rob Gallagher, acting head teacher at Hever Primary School, one of the newly awarded schools for Principals, added: “The transition has been smooth and there has been an uptake in the amount of children taking hot dinners. The staff have been friendly and hard-working and the children have appeared to enjoy eating their food.”
