Premier Foods has joined the Soil Association’s Food for Life supplier scheme reassuring caterers that Premier brands meet Catering Mark standards.
Sarah Robb, channel marketing manager at Premier Foods, said: “We’re always looking at ways we can best meet the needs of our customers. With more steps being taken by foodservice operators towards achieving a sustainable supply chain, and increasing demand from caterers for socially responsible suppliers, we’re proud that we can offer a number of products within our foodservice portfolio to help meet this need and add real value for customers.”
Caterers who choose to source more certified, higher welfare or sustainable products, or local and seasonal products, can achieve additional points helping them progress to silver and gold Catering Mark award levels.
