Abstract
Baking company Premier Foods has announced the appointment of Alex Whitehouse, the previous UK managing director, as the new chief executive officer (CEO).
Whitehouse, said: “I'm delighted to become Premier Foods CEO and look forward to working with Colin and the board to drive further value from our great portfolio of brands.
“I'm very encouraged by the improved performance of the business over the last couple of years and see this as something we can build on further.”
Previously Alastair Murray was the acting CEO who has agreed with the board to step down and leave the business.
Colin Day has been appointed chairman of Premier Foods who have been without one since Keith Hamill stepped down earlier this year. Duncan Leggett will become acting chief financial officer pending a permanent appointment.
