The event began with a champagne and canapé reception on the lawns of Beaufort Polo Club prior to the final of the Sidebottom Cup.
Guests then enjoyed a three-course lunch, which included dressed Cornish crab with violet artichoke, roasted crab mayonnaise and yuzu puree.
Penny Moore, chief executive of Hospitality Action, said: “Tickets to the polo day sold out almost instantly, a true testament to the hard work everyone puts in. We are indebted to all our event sponsors especially PSL The Food Professionals, Taittinger and Hatch Mansfield for the wines.
“Special thanks also goes to Flying Fish Seafoods and Total Produce who have supported the event for a number of years and R&R Catering Hire for being so very generous. We’re set to spend a record breaking amount of money supporting those in need this year and it’s events such as this that enable us to do so.”
Hospitality Action helped 1,296 people through grants and befriending schemes in 2015.
