Plymouth's CATERed partners with City College to offer staff NVQ qualifications

The kitchen managers have been enrolled on the NVQ level 2 which will see them improving knife skills and honing their culinary techniques from preparing fish, boning poultry to understanding game.

The catering assistants will complete the NVQ level 2 in food production.

At an enrolment event on April 20th, 2015, 52 kitchen managers (78% of the kitchen managers) and 29 catering assistants (14% of the staff group) took up the challenge.

A further enrolment is planned for September where the rest of CATERed kitchen managers will be signed up onto the NVQ.
