Pladis targets additional £172m sales opportunity for snacking in foodservice

Pladis is targeting an additional £172m sales opportunity for snacking in foodservice over the next five years as it aims to tap into the increasing demand.

The latest IGD data predicts 26% growth of the foodservice channel, anticipating a £23.4Bn market by 2027. According to separate research purchases in the channel are 30% more likely to be impulsive than they are planned.

The Pladis foodservice range includes family favourites such as Jacob’s Mini Cheddars handy packs, Jacob’s Mini Cheddar Nibbles and McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes portion-sized twin packs. The Pladis foodservice range is available at most major national and regional wholesale groups.
