The latest IGD data predicts 26% growth of the foodservice channel, anticipating a £23.4Bn market by 2027. According to separate research purchases in the channel are 30% more likely to be impulsive than they are planned.
The Pladis foodservice range includes family favourites such as Jacob’s Mini Cheddars handy packs, Jacob’s Mini Cheddar Nibbles and McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes portion-sized twin packs. The Pladis foodservice range is available at most major national and regional wholesale groups.
Peter Phillips, head of out of home, foodservice and licensed at Pladis UK&I, said: “Working with foodservice operators and helping them boost profits with our snacking expertise has always been an incredibly important focus for us, and we feel we can drive that success even further in line with the expected growth in demand for affordable snacks out of home.
“We’re already well placed to support the channel with our broad portfolio of products, ranging from bagged snacks to grab ’n’ go cake bars and treats. And now we’re committed to making this even more of a total business priority. That means investing in growth initiatives, investing in new products, and strengthening our partnerships with foodservice operators to help them maximise profits by stocking our best-loved brands.”
