Simon Tarr, People 1st Managing Director, said: “With People 1st managing trailblazers across the sector, supporting the government’s commitment to increasing the quality of apprenticeships through new employer-driven standards, this is a perfect time to celebrate those who show real commitment and dedication to apprenticeship delivery in our sector.
“Our research shows the benefits that apprenticeships bring to individuals, employers and the wider economy and highlights that investing in apprentices will head off future recruitment and retention issues. There can be no better time to celebrate our apprentices and we encourage all employers and training providers in customer facing industries to get involved.”
During its first two years the apprenticeship awards focused on the hospitality sector, but this year the awards are being extended to cover the passenger transport, retail and travel industries.
