Windhill Primary in Bishops Stortford was taken over by a flock of Shaun the Sheep look-a-likes as pupils enjoyed the nutritious meals sporting their very own Shaun the Sheep ‘ears’. The children also took part in a colouring competition to design a poster for Shaun the Sheep The Movie which is currently screening in cinemas across the UK with the chance to win prizes donated by Walker Books.
Sarah Baldwin, food development manager at Hertfordshire Catering, said: “It was great that the children had so much fun and our own staff entered into the spirit of the occasion by wearing “Shaun Ears” during service. This event reinforced the healthy eating ethos of the school and proved that children can be inspired to eat healthily and still have fun.”
Guy Truman, Pasta King’s commercial director, said: “Our Shaun the Sheep meals range has exceeded all expectations. With the recent launch of Aardman’s Shaun the Sheep The Movie, our fun range of meals has proved the perfect way for caterers to engage pupils at lunchtime. With Shaun the Sheep activity ramping up for the rest of 2015 with Shaun in the City trails happening this Spring in London and in Bristol over the Summer, the momentum is building.”
Pasta King’s Shaun the Sheep meals support Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Charity, with a donation from the sale of each pack going towards this UK wide charity which raises funds to improve the quality of life of sick children in hospitals and hospices throughout the country.
