An ‘impressive campaign’ in 2021 saw over half a million pounds collected for Red Nose Day via their secure school payment platform. Comic Relief aims to ‘make a real difference’ to vulnerable people throughout the UK and across the world.
Mark Brant, chief executive of ParentPay, said: “We’re proud to be able to help make a difference, as we support the fundraising efforts of schools and parents by utilising our cashless payments system, especially as people look to move away from collecting physical donations in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.”
Comic Relief funding has helped to support 11.7 million people, including:
- More than 750,000 people in the UK experiencing financial and material poverty to access advice and support.
- More than 46,000 children and young people in the UK, and more than 8.1 million internationally.
Michelle Bromhead, schools fundraising manager for Red Nose Day, added: “We are delighted to be working with ParentPay again this year, offering schools a hassle-free cashless donation option.
“Whatever you and your pupils do, no matter how big or small, you’ll be helping people live free from poverty, violence, and discrimination. It’s really easy to get involved. Just pick a few fundraising ideas, round up your Red Nose Day team and go for it. Have fun.”
