ParentPay offered schools the chance to make fundraising easy by creating a free donations page through their secure school payment platform. Almost 2,000 schools took ParentPay up on the offer, and £579,221 has now been raised through the donations pages as a result.
Lewis Alcraft, chief executive at ParentPay, said: “It is always an honour to support BBC Children in Need, and we are delighted to have helped schools to raise such an outstanding amount in support of the important work they do.
“Our ongoing partnership is an opportunity that is close to the hearts of everyone at ParentPay. As always, our thanks goes to all the teachers, pupils, parents, and school leadership teams who made the fundraising possible, and of course to everyone who generously donated.”
The BBC Children in Need appeal raised a grand total of £35,273,167, which has been pledged to causes across the country including those supporting children, young people and families struggling with the cost of living crisis.
