Abstract
School caterer The Pantry is looking for new ways to reduce sugar on menus and has just teamed up with Real Good Ketchup in order to bring Ketchup back to dinner halls.

With health and nutrition a priority for school caterers and parents, many schools have removed Ketchup from mealtimes due to its high sugar and salt content. Real Good offers Ketchup with over 75% less sugar and salt than regular Ketchups, keeping sugar and salt levels within appropriate healthy eating guidelines for children.

Sally Rose Haines, head of nutrition at The Pantry, said: “We are so excited to partner with Real Good Ketchup as this innovative and delicious product helps support our pupils to enjoy their favourite foods whilst consuming far less sugar and salt, it’s a great addition to our portfolio.”

The Pantry is rolling out Real Good Ketchup in a number of primary and secondary schools in England for the first time. Real Good is produced using natural, plant-based ingredients and is free from 14-listed allergens as well as being sustainably produced in the UK, with fully recyclable packaging.

It was also voted The Best Children’s Food Product in the 2021 World Food Innovation Award. Real Good Ketchup is available in 2 x 2.6kg catering jars.
