Abstract
Ethical food specialists Pabulum has secured the contract to provide catering to pupils at Commonweal School in Swindon.
The caterer, who beat stiff competition from the likes of Sodexo, will deliver 'fresh food, freshly made' to over 1,000 pupils at the performing arts school. This follows similar wins at Cranford Park Primary School in Hillingdon and Totton College in Southampton.
An eight-strong team from Pabulum will work closely with students to develop a menu of hot and cold Fairtrade, organic and locally sourced dishes.
Pabulum already has extensive experience of working in the educational sector, serving meals to among others include Cranford Park Primary School, Hillingdon; Coombe Girls School, Surrey; The Isle of Wight Council; Highdown School, Reading; Newport Free Grammar School in Essex; Gillotts School in Henley and Grey Court School in Richmond. It also supplies tailor-made foods services to firms such as the Body Shop in West Sussex.
Jonathan Gawthrop, managing director of Pabulum, said: "We're thrilled that our message of 'fresh food, freshly made' has been heard above that of our big name corporate rivals by the management at Commonweal and we can't wait for the new term to start and the opportunity to show exactly what Pabulum has to offer the pupils."
