Ranging from bar skills to the campus speed cook challenge, chefs’s challenge and Salon Culinaire, competitors will partake in a number of competitions and challenges over the two-day event (27-28 March) held at the University of Warwick, Coventry.
Chair of TUCO Matthew White said: “We are excited by the calibre of entries already sublimated for this year and look forward to many more. The competitions are an excellent opportunity and learning experience for the industry to come together to share their knowledge and expertise.
“The TUCO Competitions is a good opportunity for our members to showcase their culinary talents and skills within higher and further education. I look forward to seeing what this year’s event brings.”
Each year, TUCO focuses on developing the entire competition experience, which saw it add four new classes to the Salon Culinaire competition last year, and make changes to both the bar skills and barista skills challenges for 2018.
Entries are now only open until 5pm, 31 January via: http://www.tuco.ac.uk/component/zoo/category/2018 with this year’s winners announced at the Gala Dinner on 28 March.
