Norwegian Seafood Council signs William Murray as new PR partner

William Murray has been chosen by The Norwegian Seafood Council to manage both its consumer & trade PR and marketing activity in the UK.

The Norwegian Seafood Council works on behalf of all Norwegian seafood exports to develop markets and promote the produce across the world.

Hans Frode Kielland Asmyhr, UK director of Norwegian Seafood Council said: “We are very excited to start working with William Murray to promote Seafood from Norway in the UK.

“Their breadth of expertise within the retail and foodservice sectors will help us to achieve our goal of building the perception of the Norwegian origin mark as a mark of quality and sustainability here in the UK.”

William Murray will support their new client with PR, marketing and digital services across the retail, foodservice and consumer markets.

Anita Murray, chief executive of William Murray, added: “We are really excited to be partnering with Norwegian Seafood and increasing the demand for and knowledge of Norwegian seafood.

“We are eating more seafood in the UK and Norway has such a special and unique story to tell about its people, the sea, the way it fishes and sustainability.

“We will be looking to tell that story through strong, origin-focused campaigns and finding new ways to engage our B2B and B2C audiences.”
