The NACC unites, supports and represents people working in catering for the UK care sector. Over the past 30 years the organisation has been committed to raising the standards of care catering through improving nutrition and hydration.
To nominate someone you need to submit a paper, email or CD Rom summary of no more than 1,000 words. Winning entries will receive a trophy, framed certificate and £300.
The Care Establishment Of The Year Award, sponsored by Hobart, will be awarded to the care unit whose meals and beverages meet the dietary and nutritional needs of individuals. Previous winners of the award include Primrose Bank Care Home, John Willis House and Sunrise Senior Living of Eastbourne.
The Our Care Catering Hero Award will be given to a worker delivering meals on wheels or a care worker who has gone beyond the call of duty. Previous winners include Debbie Wright of Norse Catering, Joy Whitlock of Barchester Healthcare and Gareth O’Hara from Sunrise of Cardiff.
The other awards are: Meals On Wheels Award, Catering Team Of The Year Award, Catering Manager Of The Year Award and the Region Of The Year Award.
The Pam Rhodes Outstanding Achievement Award and The National Chairman’s Award do not require nominations.
