Abstract
NHS Supply Chain has developed the Chef’s Academy programme, which invites hospital chefs to take part in free training, watch live demonstrations and the opportunity to network with their peers.

There are still some places to attend the next session, which will take place at Exeter College on 22 February 2022. The sessions are designed to ‘inspire innovation and professional development’ amongst NHS chefs and catering staff.

Nick Vadis, culinary specialist at NHS Supply Chain who is leading on the Chef’s Academies, said: “They provide a platform for catering staff in NHS hospitals to upskill and share best practice by learning new recipes and techniques. We were always going to hold out for a time when we could host face to face events, and now with culinary colleges able to reopen we have the opportunity to do so.”

Attendees will learn more about nutrition, cost-effective recipes and improving patient experience. To register for the Exeter Chef’s Academy, visit here.
