The next session will take place at Norwich on Wednesday 26th July. The Chef’s Academy received the Training & Apprenticeships accolade at the 2022 Public Sector Catering Awards.
A Chef’s Academy event took place on Tuesday 18th July in Ealing, West London. The session received positive feedback from attendees such as “excellent day, very informative, thoroughly enjoyed.”
The sessions are designed to ‘inspire innovation and professional development’ amongst NHS chefs and catering staff. Recipes used on the day have been created by NHS teams for use and are mapped to the approved ranges of products.
Nick Vadis, culinary ambassador in the NHS Supply Chain: Food team, said: “I’m passionate about food and want to support the growth of catering teams in NHS trusts across the country.
“We’ve seen such success so far with the Chef’s Academy and attendees leaving feeling inspired, with new skills and new ideas, as well as a bank of recipes they can take straight back to their kitchen.”
