Abstract
A brand new School FEAST Centre has opened its doors in Boston, Lincolnshire.
TV chef and local produce advocate Rachel Green cut the ribbon last week (12 November) and Boston College hospitality and catering students showcased their skills with the preparation and serving of refreshments.
Vicky Coates, project officer at the School Food Trust, said: "School cooks are at the heart of school food, transforming lunches and children's health, so they deserve the best training. The opening of the School FEAST Centre has been a great opportunity for individuals and businesses in Boston to see what School FEAST training has to offer."
School FEAST courses provide cooks, kitchen assistants, kitchen managers, lunchtime supervisors and anyone involved in providing school food with practical skills and qualifications that are recognised by employers nationally.
