Abstract
Food delivery company Foodmove, who deliver across the public sector to schools and healthcare establishments, has announced a £1 million investment in more environmentally friendly vehicles.

The company, which is part of GV (Gate Ventures), are introducing a fleet of 50 Euro six compliant vans to reduce its environmental impact and future-proof its business.

The Euro six standard was introduced in 2015 to reduce harmful pollutants from vehicle exhaust emissions. By reducing the carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxide that come from vehicle exhausts, it can improve fuel economy and lower carbon dioxide emissions.

Tevin Tobun, Foodmove chief executive, said: “Much of Foodmove’s success stems from its ability to be constantly agile and plan ahead. We are always looking for new ways to make our operations more efficient, both for our customers and clients and the world in which we live.”

The 3.5t vans feature multi-temperature transport capabilities, enabling both chilled and ambient products to be delivered at the same time without loss of quality. Clients are able to monitor deliveries as the vans are fitted with GPS tracking systems.

Vehicles that are not Euro six compliant are subject to the ULEZ (Ultra Low Emissions Zone) in London, a levy for drivers of the highest polluting vehicles. The ULEZ is said to expand from Central London to all areas inside North and South Circular from 26 October 2021.
