Lheureux joined the Science Museum in 2011 as event operations manager before taking on the role of group events operations manager in 2015.
In his new role, Lheureux will be responsible for putting the strategy in place for the corporate events teams and public catering offer across all five museums, contractual relationships and tenders, refurbishment and development projects, as well as representing the enterprises in various senior team meetings.
The head of events and catering, Ben Lheureux, said: “I am hugely privileged to be working for such an ambitious and forward thinking group of world-leading museums and with brilliant and passionate teams. We have some incredibly exciting developments coming up at each of the five museum sites this year, both in terms of the event spaces we have on offer and the public catering areas.”
Kylie Dey will take on the role of event operations manager, having previously held the position of event operations executive. The five museums that are part of The Science Museum Group are: Science Museum, Museum of Science and Industry, National Railway Museum in York, National Media Museum in Bradford and the National Railway Museum in Shildon.
