New catering and operations manager at City of Manchester Stadium

Neil Worcester, who has previously held senior positions at Lindley Catering, as catering manager, and the White House Hotel in Regents Park, London, will oversee the catering and front of house operation on match and non match days across the stadium's 70 executive boxes, six luxury suites and 1,000 seater grand marquee. Speaking about his new appointment, Worcester said: "I am delighted to have been appointed as catering and operations manager. I have worked with the Stadium for the past six years in my capacity as catering manager for Lindley Catering, the Stadium's contract caterers, where I was responsible for the Stadium's catering operation - so this job is very much home-from-home for me. "I decided to take the job at the City of Manchester Stadium as it presented me with a challenge – the Stadium is already renowned for its culinary offering, and it is my job to make it even better." Over the summer, Worcester will be working closely with city's consultant executive chef John Benson-Smith to plan next season's menus, together with the hospitality team to decide next season's football packages. In addition, he will be working across the stadium ensuring that the venue is the first choice destination for events and conferences. He said: "Each season the quality of the food and the overall experience must be better then last season, so my immediate task will be to examine our current offer and improve on it."
