11th Apr 2011 - 00:00
Abstract
Lindley Group, a specialist sports stadia caterer, has appointed Jonathan Davies to the newly created role of sales & marketing manager to help step up the pace of its expansion into other key sectors of the leisure and hospitality industry.
Davies joins the Lindley Group from BaxterStorey where he was the sales manager, responsible for winning the catering contract for London's Wigmore Hall whilst also heading up the bid team for the company's interest in the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics. Prior to this he worked at Couture – an independent London-based company set up in 2007 – where he was sales & marketing director of the newly-established business before being appointed commercial director. In his new role at Lindley Group, Davies will be responsible for business expansion in a number of key areas with a special focus on heritage sites, arts & leisure venues and other prestige hospitality sectors. Chief executive Adam Elliott said: "With Jonathan's wealth of experience his appointment marks another step change in the strategic development of the Lindley Group which has been steadily expanding its presence in the fine dining, hospitality and banqueting sectors since Heathcotes Outside joined the group in 2006 and we embarked on our partnership agreement with Green's of St James's in 2008." "We have a wealth of seriously good and extremely talented individuals drawn from a variety of hospitality backgrounds, all of whom are very focused and committed, and have a real desire to contribute to the future success of the business. "With Jonathan's appointment we are adding to this talent pool as we aim to take the Lindley Group onto a new level by extending our reach and penetration into more areas of the leisure industry."
