The app and online marketplace works through the use of 'streamlined', mobile technology which its chief executive Antony Woodcock says will enable employers to take “full control of their hiring strategy”.
“GIG was born out of a frustration that my business partners and I had for the direction that the hospitality industry was heading in," said Woodcock, who set up the business in July 2015.
“Now, for the first time, our technology is helping create a truly on-demand service whilst providing greater transparency around costs and potential staff.
“Not only does this technology help streamline a very manual industry, it also makes it more accessible again to both business owners and work seekers.
“I look forward to working with William Murray to get that message out to the wider industry, and help us make shift work, work.”
It is the second significant food and drink business to call on William Murray’s services in recent weeks after food wholesaler Bestway hired the firm in October.
Anita Murray, chief executive of William Murray, added: "The team at GIG are dead set on changing this industry for the better – which is one of the reasons we’re so looking forward to working together.
"Our shared passion for innovation in hospitality is the perfect springboard for a campaign that will drive real change in an industry we both care about deeply.”
