Abstract
Nestlé Professional announces a further waste reduction – by reducing the packaging used for Nescafé Latte, Nescafé Cappuccino and Aero sachet outer packaging.
The packaging now uses 36.3% less material and creates an annual saving of 15.3 tonnes. The amount of product in each serving remains the same. The sachets in this new format, which will be available from June, follows a packaging renovation undertaken in 2010 across Nescafé's entire range of single-serve stick packs, which were successfully reduced by 14%. According to Neil Stephens, managing director, Nestlé Professional this is yet another valuable step towards reducing the company's environmental impact: "We strive to guarantee that our packaging is the best it can be for both our customers and the environment. Eliminating any unnecessary packaging whilst ensuring that our products continue to be of the finest quality, is an essential part of our continuous drive to reduce our environmental impact."
