Abstract
The third National Happiness Awards are back to celebrate the joy in businesses, organisations and schools. The awards ceremony is set to take place on Friday 16 November at The Landing, Manchester.

There are six categories in the event, which is split into: Happiness in the workplace and Happiness in Education. The three education specific awards go to Happiest School, Happiest School Employee, which could be a caterer, cleaner, or teacher, and Happiest pupil.

The event has £6000 worth of vouchers to give away making those happy winners that little bit happier.

Laughology, the organisation to improve happiness in organisations, sponsors the awards. Started in 2006 by Stephanie Davies, the aim is to offer training to develop the workplace into a happier environment for all.  Their unique consultancy is built on the psychology of humour, laughter and happiness.

The Laughology formula for happiness is made up of confidence, personal development, mutual support, positive relationships and coping skills. Any person or workplace that takes measures to promote these is spreading happiness in their organisation.

Nominations close at midnight on Friday 19 October.
