Abstract
Creed has focused on investing in solar panels for its depots and installing 200 LED sensor lights across all sites as part of its commitment to be carbon neutral by 2025 and net zero by 2035, through their partnership with ClimatePartner.

Since May 2022, the foodservice delivered wholesaler has installed over 2,600 solar panels across their Staverton and Ilkeston depots. The company has maintained its Landfill-Free status under which all its waste that is collected is used for energy or recycled.

It has also been embedding its revised sustainability mission internally with its ‘Believe In More for Tomorrow’ vision, to ensure all teams fully understand it.

A Creed spokesperson said: “We know that the majority (over 70%) of our carbon emissions come from our fleet, so it is key that we explore different ways of reducing our emissions through trialling different methods such as electric vehicles or alternative fuel.

“We recently trialled an electric LGV at our High Wycombe depot to explore how it would work operationally and the different challenges we would face whilst analysing the data to determine cost and carbon savings. Through this, we learned that each LGV vehicle we moved over to electric would save around 69 tonnes of carbon a year, which is a huge potential for us.”
