National Doughnut Week unveils dates for fundraising event
Abstract
National Doughnut Week has released the dates for the 2025 event, which is scheduled to take place from 10-18th May.

Registration for the 33rd National Doughnut Week is now open. Food service establishments, education caterers and NHS chefs across the UK are invited to join in and showcase their doughnut-making skills and creativity.

Every year 40,000 children in the UK are left with a brain injury as a result of an accident or illness. National Doughnut Week raises money for the Children’s Trust, which is the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury.

James Dedman, CSM Ingredients general manager for UK & Ireland, said: “Bakers, cafés, delis and restaurants, big and small across the UK. It raises important funds for The Children's Trust and participants get to showcase their creativity and imagination.

“Registration is easy to do via the National Doughnut Week website and there’s lots of hints and tips and resources available to help generate sales and make the most of the week. There’s also an easy-to-use online bakery finder so visitors to the site can quickly locate their local participating baker.”

The charity week, which is sponsored by CSM Ingredients, was launched in 1992 by co-owner of Dunns Bakery Christopher Freeman. Since then, he has gone to raise £1,147,546 in total.

Michelle Martin, director of fundraising and communications at The Children’s Trust, added: “We are incredibly grateful to be chosen as the charity to benefit from National Doughnut Week. These vital funds enable us to help children with brain injury restore lost skills or develop new ways of doing things, all the time supporting the family transition home and plan for the future.”
