The NACC is calling on all local authority and Meals on Wheels providers, to sign up and take part in this research. The research will take place in the form of a group discussion, where Simone, will be looking to understand your opinions and thoughts. The discussion will be no more than one hour of people's time, and it will be hosted online.
Neel Radia, NACC Meals on Wheels lead, said: “Meals on Wheels services play a key role in supporting older people to remain well in their own homes. Relationships created between Meals on Wheels teams and service users are often key to spotting changes that can lead to potential ill health.
“Malnutrition, is a condition that can have serious impact on older adults, leading to falls, long hospital stays and a reduction in quality of life. Simone's study looks to explore the role Meals on Wheels services are already playing in identifying and tackling community malnutrition, or where this could be incorporated into services.”
You can take part in the survey if you work in any role for a community meals service and are over the age of 18. For more information or to take part, visit here.
