The bespoke training course - How to Comply with Outcome 5: Meeting nutritional needs–will run across the UK throughout June and July. It will offer delegates information and practical demonstrations to embed nutritional wellbeing into good practice so that meeting this vital element of the CQC’s Essential Standards of Quality and Safety becomes second nature.
The six How to Comply with Outcome 5: Meeting nutritional needs training days being offered across the NACC regions throughout June and July 2014 are:
• 3 June –Brakes HQ, Covent Garden, London
• 5 June – apetito, Trowbridge
• 10 June – Rhondda Heritage Park in Porth, RCT, Wales
• 12 June – Tayside, Perth, Scotland
• 8 July – Mercure Leeds
• 15 July – Holiday Inn Derby, Nottingham
Neel Radia, national chair, NACC, commented: "Every care service involved in catering should understand the importance of getting nutrition and hydration right in order to improve the quality of the nutritional care in an environment that also respects the service users' dignity. However, ensuring they achieve this in a manner that meets the demands of the Care Quality Commission's Outcome 5 can prove challenging, often due to lack of information, understanding and practical advice on recording and presenting compliance evidence.”
The one-day training course costs £80+ VAT for NACC members and £145+VAT for non-members. Each course is strictly limited to 25 people and places are offered on a first come first served basis.
The price includes refreshments and lunch, CPD certificate and learning materials. Delegates will also receive a 20% discount on the How to Comply with Outcome 5: Meeting nutritional needs publication, which is recommended for the course, if they do notalready own a copy.
