The survey aims to gain a picture of the scope of the provision, the cost of providing the service, menus, food and wider provision. APSE and the NACC are look for any Meals on Wheels providers to get involved.
Neel Radia, Meals on Wheels lead for the NACC, said: “We are currently in the biggest cost of living crisis this country has experienced in almost a generation, yet we are seeing the level of supply of community Meals on Wheels decline at an alarming rate. This survey will help us identify where there is the greatest need. I would encourage everyone to participate in the survey and to show their support for this important service, which supports the elderly and the vulnerable throughout the year.”
