Abstract
Shropshire-based MPM Catering has announced this week that it has been awarded the PSP Southampton Boat Show contract for 2013. It is valued at £1.5m over a period of three years.

Set up by brothers Mark and Paul Morris nearly four years ago, the mobile catering firm is building on the business base that was established when it secured its first contract, the Burghley Horse Trials.

Chairman of MPM Catering, Mark Morris, said: “We are delighted to have secured new contract wins with some of the most prestigious events and shows across the UK over the last six months, the most recent win being the PSP Southampton Boat Show.

“Following rapid expansion and investment in our company we are set firmly en route to achieving our five-year plan.”

The Southampton Boat Show takes place over 10 days in September and attracts more than 110,000 visitors to what organisers call ‘the most well known showcase for the leisure marine industry’.

Murray Ellis, managing director of the show said: “The PSP Southampton Boat Show is one of the world’s leading boat shows and it is essential that all the facilities we provide to our visitors and exhibitors are first class.

“We are confident the services MPM Catering provide will reflect this and we look forward to a very successful event together in 2013.”

This contract gain follows £4m worth of other business wins for MPM in 2013 including The Surrey County Show, RHS Tatton Park Flower Show, RAF Waddington Air Show, and The Suffolk County Show.
