The contract, which is valued at £500,000, is effective from December 1st. It will see the transfer of thirty staff, which will bring the total employed by Mount Charles Group at the airport to over seventy.
Mount Charles Group managing director, Cathal Geoghegan, said: “The success of our cleaning division in winning this contract is another boost for Mount Charles in what has been a sterling year of growth across the business.
“It’s a significant contract gain for the group, and encompasses not only the cleaning and hygiene requirements of the airport, but also waste management and pest control at the facility.
“As part of the contract, Mount Charles will introduce innovative technology which will provide real-time information on cleaning performance and enable the management team to focus on customer service, staff training and development.”
Mount Charles operates catering, cleaning, vending and facilities management services from its Belfast base.
