Brereton’s promotion comes after more than 14 years with the company. He already has an active and high-profile role in public sector catering, including sitting on the committee of LACA Wales.
Wayne Bennett, vice president of sales and marketing UK and Ireland for MKN, said: “This is a thoroughly deserved promotion for Stuart and a strategic move for the business as we look to continue raising our profile in the public sector. Our cooking products are known for their longevity and build quality, and are already proving their worth in schools, hospitals, care homes and other public sector kitchens across the UK.
“We’ve been working with local authorities in Wales, for example, to help make sure kitchens are equipped for the continued rollout of Universal Free School Meals. MKN appliances including the FlexiCombi combi steamer and FlexiChef are providing the capacity, control and innovative features needed to meet requirements, whilst still mindful of running costs in the current climate.
“Now, with Stuart focused solely on public sector contracts, we will be looking to grow our presence in the public sector and help more organisations to take advantage of MKN’s renowned quality.”
