Abstract
M&J Seafood has joined the digital revolution by becoming the first fish and seafood provider to offer their customers ‘catch of the day’ messages via MMS, email and twitter.
The social media strategy has been devised to help pubs and restaurants order freshly caught sustainable fish from anywhere in the country. The 'catch of the day' MMS messages are free and include a 'click to call' action allowing customers to order their fresh fish and seafood as it arrives in port. To support the MMS campaign M&J have launched a twitter page and email service as another medium to post their 'catch of the day' pictures and information direct to the customer. M&J Seafood, marketing manager Clare Twiss said: "By embracing the digital revolution we are able to provide our customers with up to date images and information on fresh fish which they can purchase for their pub or restaurant. The social media strategy allows us to continually stay in contact with our customers and help them plan their menu's each day." To receive 'catch of the day' information customers can follow M&J on Twitter - @mjseafood - or sign up for emails and MMS messages by visiting www.mjseafood.com/contact-us/sign-up
