Bateaux London, a privately owned company, sits in the Sodexo Prestige division of the Sodexo Group.
On October 10th and 25th the company is offering guests a menu of Michelin star quality whilst cruising past some of London’s most spectacular views of the river by night.
Hulstone has created a menu inspired by local and sustainable produce, with dishes including pickled alto beetroot, green apple mustard, elderflower dressing, sheep’s curd, a Heritage tomato salad, Brixham crab, chilled tomato consommé, purple basil, yuzu oil followed by an Exmoor venison loin, sweet onion ash, croquette of haunch, celeriac puree, wild garlic capers, purple sprouting broccoli and to finish a choice of a Lemon verbena panna cotta, compressed strawberries, tonka bean meringue, korean mint or a Kikkoman soy and apple tart tatin, Somerset pomona and crème fraiche ice cream.
Hulstone is a leading competition chef who has twice represented his country in the world’s most prestigious culinary contest, the Bocuse d’Or.
His restaurant The Elephant has held three AA rosettes since 2005 and in 2006 he and his team won Torquay its first Michelin star, which it has since retained.
He said: “I am delighted to be working with Bateaux London for two culinary evenings in October and look forward to creating a five course meal whilst cruising past some of London’s most iconic sights.”
