When Meiko UK launched there were just a handful of employees and now there are over 2,000 across 30 countries. Initially the turnover was less than £1 million but now it is around £20 million.
The first sales were of large dishwash systems for airline caterers but now Meiko UK provides a variety of warewashing, cleaning and disinfection technology around the globe.
Paul Anderson, managing director of Meiko UK, said: “Meiko UK has without a doubt, grown to be the most highly regarded warewashing supplier in the UK catering industry.”
Over the next 25 years Meiko UK is focussing on environmental concerns as well as business. There is expected to be a water crisis leading to water shortages in the UK and this will affect how the catering industry runs.
Anderson added: “Meiko UK is looking to benchmark a more sustainable future and we are dedicated to helping our customers minimize their consumption of water, chemicals and energy.
“Meiko has always set the highest standards of customer service and after-sales care in the UK warewashing industry. The greatest service we can now perform for our customers is to do our utmost to protect the environment, while providing them with the best quality warewashing solutions.”
