Neel Radia, chair of the National Association of Care Catering, which organises the annual event, said: “We will be releasing a series of one-minute videos on twitter that feature individuals who depend on Meals on Wheels.
“They will be sharing what this vital service, which delivers so much more than just a meal, means to them.
“A new video will be released every weekday at 10am for the next three weeks.
“This is part of the ongoing awareness campaign spotlighting the importance of the Meals on Wheels service in our communities in the lead up to Meals on Wheels Week.
“We are asking for people to look out for these important videos and share them, together with the Meals on Wheels message, with their contacts and followers via all social media platforms – including Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn – using #mealsonwheels.”
