Abstract
This year’s Hotelympia will see the British brand McDougalls celebrate its 50th Anniversary.
Their stand (S2560) at this show will be showcasing the brand's latest developments in handheld snacks with live demonstrations and product sampling. In addition next Wednesday will see McDougalls dedicating an entire day to education. BBC food and drink presenter, Nigel Barden from Chris Evan's radio show will be hosting a 'cook-off' competition between catering managers and the Craft Guild of Chefs. Kate Snow, Head Home Economist said: "We appreciate that it's becoming more and more important for catering teams to keep school meals fresh and appealing. Making food appetising, in line with nutritional standards and cost-effective is a challenge. "We often find that schools struggle to find time to develop their menus and techniques, which is where we can help by offering a refreshing and creative approach to menu solutions. Hotelympia is a great opportunity for us to demonstrate what we can offer and we are looking forward to meeting the show's visitors."
