The programme supports the foodservice industry by upskilling and creating opportunities for individuals from less-advantaged backgrounds. It aims to nurture the next generation of chefs and potential business owners by teaching them industry fundamentals and providing kick-start investment for the best-performing candidates.
Over the past two years, the Streets Ahead programme has honed the skills and business ideas of participants. July's cohort ‘wowed’ the judging panel with an array of exciting culinary concepts that captivated taste buds and showcased global authenticity.
Four participants secured the maximum investment of £10,000, while the remaining three participants received between £4-8,000 tailored to meet their specific business needs. Since its inception, McCain Foodservice Solutions has now invested £204,000 in 26 promising business concepts.
