The funds will be used to help hungry children around the world who have been affected by natural disasters, conflict and the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
Talking about last year’s Double the Love campaign, a spokesperson for Mary’s Meals said: “Funds raised above the match funding total are already helping us to feed hungry children in the other 18 countries where we work. We’re so grateful to all our generous supporters for helping us to Double The Love!”
A donation of £15.90 will feed a child with Mary’s Meals for a whole school year and until 31 January the donation will be doubled.
Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow, Mary’s Meals founder and chief executive, added: “What’s important to us is the hungry child. When there are hungry children in front of us today, we’re going to feed them, and at the same time we’re going to work on the solution to getting them fed in the long term, creating a global movement of people who believe in this vision.”
