27th Apr 2010 - 00:00
Abstract
Manitowoc Foodservice UK has announced the appointment of John Rourke to the position of managing director.
John brings to the role an accomplished financial background after holding the role of Chief Financial Officer at Manitowoc since 2008, but also a strong commercial acumen, after being instrumental in launching a highly successful start-up manufacturing company in the UK and Sweden. Prior to this, John worked for the Future Electronics Group where he held senior positions in both North America and Europe. As Manitowoc CFO, John was a key member of the management team, working closely with previous MD, Steve Loughton and is thus extremely familiar with both the company and the wider industry. Group managing director for Manitowoc, Francois Houpert said of the announcement: "John brings a strong background in distribution, general management and above all else, a robust customer oriented mindset. I have every confidence that by continuing to work with our fantastic team of people, John will create substantial growth for Manitowoc Foodservice UK and maintain our commitment to providing the market with the best products and service available."
