Urban eat brand manager, Isla Owen said: "The ‘Sandwich Selfie' competition proved to be one of our most successful ever promotions and we were overwhelmed by the level of interest and number of entries it generated. It really enabled us to engage with a host of new consumers and whilst ultimately the winner was drawn at random, that didn't stop people getting into the spirit of the brand and coming up with some incredible ‘selfies' that certainly got people talking across our social media channels."
Kerri Bogues, Criminology student in Manchester, has won a trip to spend New Years in New York. The competition saw a huge number of consumer participate, but for Kerri the prize is extra special as she gets to spend New Years with her American boyfriend.
Kerri said: "I met Jeremy when I was in New York earlier this year and we were both really upset that we weren't going to be able to be together over the holidays so this really is like a dream come true. As soon as I saw the New Year in New York flyer I was very excited but I have to be honest even though I entered dozens of times I really didn't believe I would be in with a chance of winning when there was such an amazing prize up for grabs.
“I was already a big Urban eat fan before I got the call to tell me I had won but am even more so now! I have been eating at least one Urban eat sandwich a week over the past couple of years, my current favourite is probably the Cheese & Tomato Panini although I do like to try anything that's new in the range."
