Abstract
Major International is gearing up for its new culinary challenge and mini series of display classes in association with the Craft Guild of Chefs.
The first heat takes place on February 7 at South Devon College in Paignton, and the second heat is scheduled to take place at Durham College on May 16.
The competitions include live and static display classes as well as the hot live culinary challenge and the restaurant skills class. A new category for 2014 is the mini pastry assortment class where contestants will have to incorporate a Major fruit base in two of the items.
Winner of the culinary challenge will receive £500 and £250 for their college, while both the static class winner and restaurant skills winner will each win £100.
