Abstract
Lusso, the corporate fine dining and hospitality specialist, has appointed Matt Symonds as its new operations director, as part of a wider team restructure.

Symonds will report to managing director Paul Hurren, who has recruited him to play a pivotal role in the restructure. He will now take responsibility for managing all sites under the Lusso brand - and he will have three operations managers. Two group managers, a site manager and a project manager reporting to him.

Hurren will now adopt a more strategic role and additionally aims to grow the Lusso portfolio by working in partnership with his business development team.

Symonds joins from Baxter Storey, where he was responsible for national contracts including the British Airways, Siemens, and Royal Bank of Scotland accounts. Prior to that, he worked at niche caterer Lexington, where he specialised in business development and operations in London.

He said: “I have been really impressed with the brand and the people in the front line of our business. There is so much passion from the teams to provide great food and service. Lusso comes up with bespoke solutions for each client, creates change and reacts quickly, while the support of a larger company (parent CH&Co) ensures we have the purchasing power to provide great value to clients too.”

Managing director Hurren said: “Matt joins at a very exciting time. We are going through a dynamic period of change as we continue to put our customers first in everything we do, and also go for growth. Joining now gives Matt the opportunity to help shape the future of the business.”

Lusso specialises in providing corporate fine dining and hospitality for media, law, accountancy, insurance and baking firms, primarily in London.
