Abstract
Lexington Catering was the big winner at this year’s Lunch Business Grab & Go Awards, with the contractor grabbing four of the 13 categories last night. The Special Achievement went to Caffé Nero.

More than 200 people from the food to go industry were at the London Art House to cheer on the winners.

Maria Bracken of Lunch Business magazine said: “This is the second year of the awards and it is fantastic to see them grow and succeed.

“The event has really excelled this year in terms of the standard of entries, our high profile judges and our guests. All of our winners should be very proud of their achievements.

“A special thank you must go to all of our sponsors who have supported the event, the nominees, our judges and of course everyone who attended the event last night. We look forward to making next year’s event even bigger and better.”

The evening kicked off with a buzzing drinks and canapé reception followed by the presentation of awards. These cover everything from marketing, best independent outlet through to innovation and best lunchtime menu.

Each category was judged by Martyn Herriott, chairman of the Beverage Standards Association, Jonathan Doughty, managing director of Coverpoint Consultancy, Chris Brazier, group event manager at lunch! show, Peter Backman, managing director of Horizons, Sophie Elwes, account manager at the Sustainable Restaurant Association and Gary McGann, sales & marketing director from Beyond the Bean.
