As chef de cuisine at Trauce Tonbach restaurant (Black Forest, Germany), Wohlfahrt has received three Michelin stars for 25 consecutive years since 1992, and was also awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany in 2005.
His collaboration with LSG will help the company ‘stay connected to the highest culinary standards and network,’ said chief executive Jochen Müller.
As well as providing insight into local and global food trends and incorporating them into the group’s portfolio of world travel catering, he will work alongside its ‘global culinary excellence’ team to introduce new culinary trends and foster innovations in premium in-flight meals, convenience retail and space food.
Müller continued: “We look forward to working with (Wohlfahrt) to refine and enhance our premium offering as well as our in-house culinary education.”
This is the second time that LSG Group has partnered with a three Michelin starred chef this year, having worked with Sven Elverfeld from The Ritz-Carlton Wolfsburg (Germany) earlier in 2018.
