Love British Food shares ten school meal recipes

School cooks, fishmongers, teachers, hospital chefs, care home managers, community leaders, food producers, butchers took part in this year’s event. British Food Fortnight is the biggest annual national celebration of them and the food they provide.

The ten recipes on the Love British Food website contain a portion estimation, a photo of the finished dish, an ingredients list and a method of how to replicate the dish. The recipes include:

• Spicy carrot balls with sweet & sour sauce
• Forest of bowland venison and mushroom pie
• Game pie
• Chicken & ham pie
• Fish pie with root veg mash
• LFL Glamorgan sausages
• Lamb meatballs with flatbreads and a mint & yoghurt dressing
• Sausage casserole & baked beans
• Beef bolognaise
• Salmon, cheese & broccoli quiche
